OFSTED Inspection 09-10 March 2009
The school received an OFSTED inspection in March 2009.
The inspection judged our school to be a good school. The report speaks for itself:
“Pupils are happy and enjoy coming to school”
“Pupils feel well cared for and safe”
“Achievement is good”
“Teaching engages children well with interesting opportunities”
“The school’s family ethos means that the spiritual, moral, social and cultural development of pupils is good”
“Pupils personal development is very good”
“The curriculum has very recently been updated to reflect a creative approach, more closely matched to the interests of pupils.”
“Children do well in the Early Years Foundation Stage because their needs are effectively met”
“Pastoral support is good, reflecting the hard work of the caring staff in supporting the academic and personal development of the pupils”
We are very pleased with the report – it is an accurate reflection of the school we know. Willerby Carr Lane Primary School is a happy, exciting, successful and caring place to be where every child matters and we are very proud of it.
